How to have two versions of the same book (one Illustrated - one plain text) on Books?

My author/artist/spouse writes and illustrates fantasy. Her books are on Apple Books as "Illustrated by the Author". I am her book designer, marketing manager, and boat captain (long story) and I wish to also sell her book without illustrations at a lower price point.

My initial attempts to keep the same title (but with extra text to indicate a "text only version") have run afoul of Apples guidelines.

Has anyone accomplished something similar?
