Adding Previous Cards to Apple Pay - "Could not add card try again later"
Dear Apple, please help.
In trying to solve this problem I have done research on this community and on the wider web. Each time this question is asked, your response is identical but does not answer the question. I suspect a bot at work, giving the same generic answer about checking the region validity, whther the bank supports the platform etc. So, can a real person please reply with a solution to this problem.
THE PROBLEM: when attempting to add a previous card to apple pay, the error message is "Could not add card try again later or contact your card issuer for more information".
Apple, this is useless advice. The card issuer (bank) has no idea why Apple is not allowing new card to be added.
Before replying, please note:
- Signing out and back in to Apple ID does not solve
- Resetting the phone does not solve
- The previous card I am trying to add is valid and unexpired
- I am using the correct region (Australia) which supports Apple Pay
- I am using the latest iOS
- My bank supports Apple Pay
- My wallet does not contain any other cards, so it is not an issue of maximum cards
Please just provide a solution, even if it is to say there's a glitch in the system, I'll accept that with no worries. I just need to know if I now have to go out and get a new card
Thanks.
