While I am on my phone my apple watch gets the notifications. I will hear the buzz on my apple watch but the notification will not show up on my phone even though I am on it. How do I fix this?

The iPhone does not give audible notifications if you are wearing your watch. This is a deliberate setting by Apple which we cannot change. Very frustrating as I often don’t hear my watch so both would be better. Thanks Apple.

I am seeing the same issue. I have checked my iphone to make sure notifications are enabled, Messages notifications are on and that the Focus setting doesn't disable notifications. Yet, only my Apple watch gets notifications and not my iphone. On the Iphone, the message notification shows up on the lock screen but there is no alert tone (silent mode is off).
I use to get audible notifications on phone when I was NOT wearing my Apple watch. Now, no matter what I do, my phone remains silent when I don't have my watch on. How do I fix this - or is it even possible?
are you just not getting the notification on your phone, or are you not getting the actual text message on your phone? The later is what is happening to me and it is so frustrating. Tried restarting both... nothing.
Just to make sure, the settings for notifications in the WatchApp on your iPhone are set to mirror your iPhone?
And in Settings/Notifications/Messages/ on the iPhone, "Allow Notifications" is still enabled?
Did you already force restart your iPhone?

Just to make sure, did you check the Mute switch on the side of the iPhone?

Hey, i actually just fixed that problem on my watch. So what i did was just restart my watch and then once it came back, my notifications started showing up again. If that doesnt work, i would just take it to the apple store. Anyways, sorry about that!
