Cutting and pasting from Mail (in blue text) into Pages produces an dark text result

May I add the most accurate way to duplicate a blue text on an application to change in black ink. Would be to Add text from dashboard options in edit. select the original text and click the Capital A with a square line around it with dots on each side . Is helpful knowing to complete text(words).
