Can I turn off the mic on Beats Solo 3

I want to record with the iPhone mic in GarageBand rather than the Beats Solo 3 built in mic, is there a way to mute or turn off the mic in the wireless headphones?

Live listen feature and external mic issue with GarageBand. I would like an option to turn this off entirely so that GarageBand is the only source for live listening. just recently i discovered that my voice could be heard in two places at once: iPad and while using GarageBand. if it went away while using garageband, this wouldn’t be such an issue. i tried turning it off but to no avail.
