Garageband cymbals are changing pitch like a pitch bend wheel

Hi! The cymbals on my GarageBand file made with M-Audio controller. The cymbals change pitch and are sluggish. New computer updated to Sonoma, Never had the problem before on my old Mac using the same controller. None of the pitch bend or modulation wheel controls were used. What could be making this happen?
