Getting separate tracks in garageband using a mixer with one XLR mic and one 3.5mm mic

Is it possible to record 2 separate vocal tracks in GarageBand through a mixer, specifically the Maonocaster E2, that has a single XLR mic jack and a single 3.5mm mic jack?

Although GarageBand appears to recognize there are 2 separate inputs coming from the mixer and each track has one input selected respectively, AND I have configured the track header, both mics are still being picked up on both tracks.
