Will I get same Apple Customer number for certified refurbished Apple products?

When purhcasing a certified refurbished Apple Product, will I still get the same Apple Customer Number to register the devices as you would when purchasing new?

I work for a school, we would like to purchase some iPad Airs. I noticed the Apple refurbished price tends to be cheaper, and would allow us to get more iPads. Importantly, I will need to get the Apple Customer Number so I can register the products in Apple School Manager. Will I still get this number when purchasing refurbished products?

I understand you get this when purchasing Apple Products, but just want to be sure it works across the board
