Imported Loops in Garageband not going orange

Hello.

I have been trying to import files on Garageband 10.4, and everywhere on the internet says they're supposed to go orange, and you can edit the tempo and stuff better. However, when I import audio files, they go light blue, like a loop from the Apple Loops Library, and they are treated like one shots and not loops.

I have tried saving the files to my audio library, however I can only save them as one shots. It does this for both .mp3 files and .wav files.

Please help!

To be able to save the audio file as a loop, you have to trim it, so it will align with the boundaries of the measures. Either change the tempo of the song to make the audio file fitter cut out a region that begins and ends on the bars between the measure. Then you d´can save it a a loop, that can be transposed or adjust to the tempo of the song.
