Why are Google Ads not functioning on Safari?

Same issue here. I have private relay on and it’s still not working. 😒 boo.

This worked! You have to also make sure that in Settings -> WiFi -> Your Network Name -> Limit IP Address Address Tracking is also ON for Private Relay to turn on.

Having Private relay ON doesn't remedy the above problem in any way.

I just turned on Private Relay and it worked, thanks its been driving me nuts.

I enabled private relay on my iPhone and the links works in Safari AND Chrome. On my Mac, it only works in Safari, NOT chrome. It's very strange. And it only happens on my home network. Tried to recreate the issue in Windows, and was unable to so I would think that rules out something weird with my network or ISP.

Anyone have any ideas? I have no VPNs, no firewalls or weird routing or security rules....

I’ve been suffering the same problem until today. And I had tried all the “fixes” I could find on the web. Turns out the problem was not with setting on my iPad, iPhone, MacBook, etc, it was an issue in my eero setting which resulted in the www.googleadservices.com site.

in the eero app on the home page

1) Click on Ad Blocking

2) Click on Network Controls

3) Click Block and Allow Sites

4) Select Allowed Sites

5) Add Allowed Sites

6) Enter www.googleadservices.com as the Domain and turn on Allow for Network, or select the Profiles you want to be able to use the domain.

7) Click Done and return to the home page.

This also works for any other ‘click’ counting sites you are having trouble with like “wgazag.clicks.mlsend.”

It works for me as well. What a simple fix, thank you. I’ve been fighting this problem for probably a year now. Same for my wife, but hers is fixed as well.

I just signed up for google premium ad free on my apple iPhone 7+ no Wi-Fi. Just unlimited data. I still get ads. Do I need Wi-Fi for this to work
