My Time Capsule Crashed and it does not show in finder.

First, for context, I posted a couple of weeks ago about my Time Capsule issues and got some advice here and other online resources. I went down all avenues of things to do with the hard drive still in the Time Capsule, and the next step was to remove it.

I removed the hard drive, put it in an enclosure and, plug it into my computer. When I turn it on, I can hear the disc spinning but it doesn't appear in finder. What now?

Thanks!

Open Disk Utility on your Mac. Finder > Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility

Does the drive appear in Disk Utility? Can you manually mount the drive on the desktop using Disk Utility?

If yes, you should be able to open the drive to see the contents.

If no, things are not looking good, and you will need to decide whether to take the drive to a data restoration specialist for a very expensive process......usually with no guarantees.
