Midi Connection - Imac to Korg PA5X

Not a new iMac, it's running Big Sur 11.7.10, but can't connect to either Garageband or Logic Pro....does someone have a step by step guide?

Yes, I tried Audio Midi Setup. I tried to create a new device.

On the Korg I select Midi Preset = Default, Clock Source = External USB.

On Garageband

  • under Preferences I choose "Audio/Midi". Input Device says "System Setting" (Is this correct?)
  • Enable Audio Units is checked.
  • Under Midi Status: it says "1 Midi Input detected"

However, when I play the keyboard I see nothing under Garageband.....are there particular settings under Garageband I need to select?

Thanks again.

Tony
