How do I delete my personal files and leave Microsoft Office, Symantec, AOL, Netscape, Star Trek screen saver, etc. I have all the system boot disks and also zip disks and a working IOMEGA zip drive.

Since you have access to the system disks, I would also suggest that you erase the entire hard disk using an appropriate utility (such as Drive Setup). A fresh operating system could then be installed. If necessary, for secure wiping of free disk space, a special utility (such as Burn 2.5) may be used.

I don't know that you're legally allowed to do what you want. In order to transfer most of those applications to a new owner, you'd need to provide them with all of the installation disks for the Applications. Do you have those?
If you do have all of the installation disks for the third-party applications, then the best thing to do would be to wipe the drives of everything and let the new owner re-install things from the disks.

Open System Preferences>Accounts, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
In the same pref pane highlight your old account, click the little minus icon, then use Disk Utility to Secure Erase Free Space.
