Mac Studio internet speed throttled

My latest Studio(M2 max 2023) download speed is 23 and upload 1; I ran several tests and got similar results. But, my MacBook Pro M1 Pro gets 532 and 41. They are in different rooms.

Are there any high speed USB cables, devices or display near or in-between the Mac Studio and Wi-Fi router?

Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference - Apple Support

1) Try rearranging your setup so that those cables, devices and display are not interfering with Wi-Fi.

2) Try setting the Mac Studio on its side with the bottom facing the Wi-Fi router to see if that helps.

3) Try moving the Mac Studio and Router closer or use a Wi-Fi extender to see if that helps.

FWIW the Mac Studio's and Mac mini's are at a disadvantage compared to other Mac's because their wireless antenna is built into the bottom cover.

I am so glad you stuck with it and solved your problem. Your post will be here for a long time, and others may find it by searching for similar issues.

This is some added "conventional wisdom":

Why do I have difficulty with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth devices when USB 3 devices are attached to my computer?

Some USB 3 devices can generate radio frequency interference that can cause Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices operating in the 2.4GHz band to have issues communicating with your computer. Here are some tips to avoid this issue:

• If your USB device has a cable long enough that you can move the device, place it away from your Mac—and make sure not to place it behind your Mac, or near the hinge of its display. The antennas for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are located there, and USB 3 devices placed there might interfere with your wireless connections.

• If you're using adapters or dongles on a Mac computer with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports, plug them into the front port on the left side of your Mac, or into the ports on the right side (if your computer has them). These ports are the farthest away from the antennas, making interference less likely.

• To avoid interference on the 2.4GHz band using Wi-Fi, try using the 5GHz band instead. You can change this on your wireless base station. Bluetooth always uses 2.4GHz, so this alternative isn't available for Bluetooth.

By far the easiest way to cause poor performance, instability, overheating and crashing is to install ANY third-party speeder-uppers, Cleaners, Optimizers, or Virus scanners, Bit Torrent, or a VPN that you installed yourself. The main reason is that they are relentless in scanning your files, non-stop, looking for virus-like patterns in Everything, or looking for files that have changed. When completed, they do it all again.

Third-party file Sync-ers such as DropBox, BackBlaze, OneDrive, or GoogleDrive can ruin performance, but are not inherently dangerous.

¿Are you running anything like that?
