Does anyone use humans these days? Help app no help.

My need is not listed, so choice incorrect by default. NWS on Apple does not provide storm watches, storm warnings a bit late, and data for same instance varies on page. It forces location where I am not located and continually must go back to reset. If a human from Apple can get this fixed awesome we need to know tornadoes before they arrive. Thanks

Hi, and welcome (from a human 😀), to the Apple (user-to-user) Community!

Re: "NWS on Apple does not provide storm watches, storm warnings a bit late, and data for same instance varies on page."

Well, seems we can either try

(1) some trouble-shooting to see if we can improve matters,

or

2) you can ignore the trouble-shooting below, and just send some feedback to reach those who work behind-the-scenes at Apple,

or

(3) you can browse through the trouble-shooting and try whatever seems useful, and then if you wish, send in some feedback from the link at the bottom.

_______________

Trouble-shooting:

Wondering where you would be checking for the storm warnings in the News app.

I don't know if it will help with storm warnings, but here's a few possibilities:

Apple support's online article: Listen to Apple News Today on iPhone - Apple Support

Eg: Says: "In the News app,

you can listen to Apple News Today, an audio briefing of the day’s top stories hosted by Apple News editors."

Also, if you wish, you can: "Get Apple News Today show notes notifications

✽ Tap Following,

✽ swipe to the bottom of the screen,

✽ then tap Notifications & Email below Manage.

✽ Turn on notifications for Apple News Today." (or maybe just for certain channels you've chosen ?)

Another article: Get started with News on iPhone - Apple Support

Eg: says:

"The News app collects all the stories you want to read, from your favorite sources, about the topics that interest you most. To personalize News, you can choose from a selection of publications (called channels)

"The more you read, the better News understands your interests.

Siri learns what’s important to you and suggests stories"

Another idea, (if not using it already) may be to check out the weather app., and its notifications:

See how to: Check the weather

or

Check the weather in other locations

You can also: View weather maps

Use Weather widgets

Learn the weather icons

Re: "It forces location where I am not located and continually must go back to reset".

You may want to check your region is set correctly:

Eg: Go to Settings > General > Language & Region ... you can set the region correctly there

You may want to check the local date and time is set correctly for your location on your iPhone:

Go to: Settings > General > Date & Time. If possible, turn on Set Automatically.

Also: Check Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services. Check if Location Services is on, if you want it on.
