Beats Headphones and “You’ll need to unlock your IPhone first.”

I am able to use noise-cancelling headphones at work, but my iPhone must remain in my pocket while I am on the work floor.

I am not able to take calls while working. When someone calls, I wait for them to hang up. Sometimes they leave a voicemail.

I ask Siri (through the Beats Headphones) to tell me who just called, or I ask Siri to play the voicemail message. Either way, Siri says, “You’ll need to unlock your iPhone first.” The only way to do that is to take my phone out of my pocket, which the work rules forbid.

Is there a way around this problem?
