Normally, this would be the same password as the wireless network password for the Time Capsule.

If that does not work, you will have to reset the Time Capsule and set it up all over again.

To do that, hold in the reset button on the back of the Time Capsule for 8-10 seconds and release

Allow a full minute for the Time Capsule to restart to a slow blinking amber light status

Open AirPort Utility

Click on the Other Wi-Fi Devices button

Click on Time Capsule xxxxxxx

The AirPort Utility set up wizard will guide you through. Write down the password that you choose and keep it in a safe place

Setting up the Time Capsule again does not erase the Time Capsule hard drive. Follow the instructions that I provided above to erase the Time Capsule disk

If you select the Time Machine option to encrypt the new backups, write down the encryption password and keep it with the other password that you have written down and stored in a safe place.

Open AirPort Utility

Click to select the Time Capsule

Click Edit in the smaller window that appears

Click the Disks tab at the top of the next window

Click Erase Disk

Choose the Zero Out Data erase option.....which will likely take 6-8 hours.

Click Erase

The Time Capsule will blink amber during the erase. When you see green light on the Time Capsule, the erase is complete.
