Siri - Solution to custom announcements - "There is somebody at the door"

I am really struggling to get notifications out of Home/Homekit. We are all in with Apple Homepods around the house and various devices. However simple things like announcing "There is somebody at the door" do not work. Sure you can pay £10 a month and get Apple Music but I do not want a tune played, just want it to announce the notification on my Homepods.

I do not have a Mac so cannot add a custome sound to iTunes library, unless this can be done via PC.
