On a Mac (using OS Mojave or earlier), use iTunes, which should be pre-installed on your machine. On a Windows PC, use iTunes, which you can download from iTunes - Apple.


Once you have iTunes installed, add your music to iTunes to form your iTunes Library and then connect your iPod to the computer (and iTunes will see it) and then use the Sync feature to synchronise the iPod with iTunes.


On a newer Mac, using OS Catalina or later (which does not have iTunes), use the built-in Finder to add music to your iPod.
