17.5.1 broken personal hotspot.

I have an iPhone 15 pro which i recently updated to ios 17.5.1. Prior to this update i had no issues with hotspot, but upon update, my devices could not connect to my phone's hotspot.

My laptop, which connects to other hotspots fine, connects but says the hotspot has 'no internet.' this issue does not occur on any other iPhone that has not been updated.

I have tried all recommended fixes on both laptop (which i now am sure is not the issue) and iPhone.

Will there soon be an update to fix this bug? I do a lot of work in places with no wifi, and need hotspot.

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 17

I had this same problem on both of my iphone 13 Pro Max phones, but it worked on my 14 Pro Max.

I called apple support and it turned out that it was a problem with Verizon. I recently changed my plans and when I changed the ones for the 14 Pro Max, it included the capability to Have the phone function as a hot spot, but they did not tell me that the two 13 Pro Max's plans did NOT include it, even though they had this capability before I changed the plans.

Very PO'ed at verizon now.

The way that apple traced it to a verizon issue was going to Settings > Cellular > then click on Set Up Personal Hotspot. The brought up a box that directed me to Verizon and they sent me to india and the people there did not think to check the plan I had and took forever to decide to send to the technical support area. I checked on verizon website and found out that the plan that they set me up a bit ago did not have the hotspot included, it was 15 dollars more a month.

Y'all may want to check this out on your phones.
