Split Screen closing when switching between tabs in Adobe

When I am in split screen on my MacBook Air 13' M3 2024 (Sonoma 14.5) with Chrome and Adobe. When I have multiple PDF tabs open in Adobe and I either close a tab or switch to another tab it completely kicks me out of split screen and back to my home screen. How do I fix this? I have a screen recording showing the issue but cannot attach.
