Page gets lost in ibooks

When I return to iBooks on my iPad 6 mini the page I left is completely lost and I have to scroll through trying to find it again. I’m visually impaired and use large text and the scrolling view when reading. Does anyone else have this problem? Maybe it’s to do with the accessibility functions.
