MOTION 5 SUPPLEMENTAL CONTENT
Hi All,
New to FCP and Motion. I wanted to move Motion's supplemental content to an external drive. would Motion be able to recognize or relink to it?

When you save your Motion project you'll have the option to "Collect media" which simply creates a main folder with your project name as well as a "Media" subfolder where it'll save all you project's Media. If you failed doing that you'll be later given the option to relink all missing data.
In FCP it is expectedly almost the same except the subfolder thing. Relinking is usually a dream. I probably say that because I know where all my external data is located...
