3 different computers, Windows and MacBook cannot find 2 different iPod Shuffles since yesterday

I have 2 iPod Shuffles. One is a second generation. The other is a 4th generation. I have 2 MacBook Pros and a Windows 10 PC. MacBook had worked fine for both Shuffles until yesterday. Now, none of the 3 computers can find either of the iPods. Only thing that makes sense is the iPod software has some sort of cut off date such as yesterday. Have any feedback on this?
