How can I enable my Media & Purchases Account in the App Store?

When I try to purchase an app from the App Store, I get a message saying, "Your Media & Purchases account has been disabled. Tap Continue to request re-enablement." Pressing "Continue" redirects to a page saying, "There are currently no assisted support options for your selection available."

How do I reenable my account in this case?

Media & Purchase Account disabled

I’m having the same issue media & purchase account disabled. The redirected page offers no help and apple seems not to know how to fix this problem. I’ve reset my password and all of the above. How yo get this fixed ?

Hello~ Are you seeing the message below? Also, please remember we are fellow forum members and not Apple Support and all may not be “sirs”.


If a message says 'Your Media & Purchases account has been disabled' - Apple Support


If so click on and review the highlighted article above. If not your issue explain…

I had this same issue (Tap Continue to request re-enablement.)I just had mine fixed by an Apple rep in 2 minutes. Go to the Support Apple's app - click on your Phone device - click on subscritipn & purchase - then Update payment method - scroll all the way down and click on 'Chat' - explain your problem and an assistant will help you. Goodluck!

Please help. My Apple media and purchases have been disabled. I have tried to fix it by reactivating it on Apple's website but it did not work. I have called Apple support several times but they cannot fix it. This made me realize how much I depend on my iPhone. If this does not work, I will switch to Andriod.
