Will iPod Classic 4th Gen Battery work with 3rd Gen model?

Hello All.

I am looking to replace my iPod Classic 3rd Gen battery and was wondering if the iPod Classic 4th Gen battery will fit, connect and run my iPod 3rd Gen please?

There are iPod Classic 3rd Gen batteries available but they are small in mAh's where the iPod Classic 4th Gen batteries are larger in mAh's.
