Is there any way to disconnect from iCloud Calendar WITHOUT losing entries on Mac Calendar?

I use a Mac calendar for medical info and dates and don't want it "out there." Is there any way to disconnect from iCloud WITHOUT wiping away a year's worth of medical data? I need to keep the data on my mac calendar.!

I use an older iMac, with OS 10.13.6, High Sierra.
