Empty Folders in iCloud (Files Disappeared)

I have the 2TB iCloud storage to which I utilize from multiple devises. I have just come to realize that many of my File Folders in the archive are empty. Files are missing but the folders are all still there. This seems to be an iCloud error as I would never delete these files. Does anyone else have any information of iCloud losing its users data at a specific time and date? Like a corporate data dump or major internal error that is being withheld from the public?

I don't know if I need to hire an attorney here or if this is just a simple fix... PLEASE HELP!
