What to do when iCloud drive file disappears after error?

I have iCloudDrive Sync this Mac active on my Mac and also Desktop & Documents Folders.

Since this morning, when I try to open a file it is not opening and if I try to click on icon near the name to download the file it is telling me "The file couldn't be open" and then it disappear. The file in any case is still on the cloud.

When I create a new file I can see cloud icon with (?) so, probably, it is not synchronising. I tried to restart but not luck.

Any clue?

The files are available in iCloud (what a relief!). I solved in this way:

1) Go to Settings -> iCloud -> iCloud Drive

2) Turned off "Desktop & Documents Folders"

3) Turned off "Sync this Mac"

4) Accepted to delete everything locally

5) Reboot

6) Turned on "Sync this Mac"

7) Turned on "Desktop & Documents Folders"

Voila',all files area available locally. Of course I have lost the few test files not synchronised on iCloud due to the issue.
