Have I been hacked?

Yesterday I received a notification from iCloud that I had created a hide-my-email address and then today I received a notification from Senator Kirsten Gillibrand's office, of all places, thanking me for contacting them. I definitely didn't send an email to the Senator's office and the email they received from me came from the iCloud generated email. How worried should I be about this?

Thanks

Not. Email lists, text number lists, are for sale everywhere--we will keep getting these things. They're sent to everyone on their lists with the hope someone will take them seriously. I'm sure Senator Kirsten Gillibrand would love to have your money, but if you choose to give her a buck or two, go directly to her website; don't click on stuff in a text or an email! If you don't click, they won't think they fooled you.
