How do I know if a file on icloud drive is local or in the process of being downloaded?

Hello

I need to find a secure way to identify whether an iCloud drive file is available on local disk or it is only in iCloud.

I imagine there must be some kind of property that can be accessed programmatically and inform the status, whether local, in the cloud or in the download process, just as it is available in the finder through icons.

(However, I need to do this by code, perhaps by reading file properties.)

Thank you very much and I appreciate any help in advance.

Hello Ricard,

Yes! All of this is already basic and known by all OSX users.

But my question is related to how this can be analyzed programmatically, that is, via code - any language, how can I see attributes or any other information and conclude that the file is already completely local or if it is just on icloud or still in the process of being transferred.

Thanks,
