Text boxes act weird when I mirror my iPhone

When I tried the new feature from Apple and mirrored my phone on my computer computer, I was able to see everything fine but sometimes an orange box appears around areas where there's active text boxes and my keyboard starts acting weird such as not registering spaces or not activating microphone, etc., etc.

Inaccurate/miscalculated selection of text on iPhone I have been noticing within the past month or so, when I double click text I wish to select in Messages, Notes, or Safari, it selects partial words ("there" would be "ere") and when I go to correct it, the starting cursor of the blue highlight moves further down the sentence/paragraph (to select the text proceeding it.) Like a ghost writer. This is difficult to explain, but I hope this makes sense. I can't find any info on it. It's also at random, but consistent within that particular text/web page/project. (My phone is up to date, is kept clean, and has a screen protector on it. I removed it to test without it: no difference.) Is this a known issue? Is there a fix? Open to suggestions! :) Thank you
