I have 2023 (6th Gen)iPad Pro (12.9”) UK edition running iPadOS 17.5.1.
My router is the UK Virgin Media Hub 5. The problem is the Virgin Media Connect App for broadband downloads, BUT functions ONLY in Portrait!
Therefore how can I alter App to correct to Landscape configuration so all will open in Landscape! Its **** typing & trying to read screen when what you are viewing is side on!

it's up to the developer of the app to support landscape, not all choose to do so, the operating system can't force it really
if it was me then I would reach out to virgin and suggest they implement it or hear if they are working on it
