iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation Firmware Damage. Unable to reset using iPod reset utility or iTunes. Does not show up in finder or disk utility either.

My friend bought this iPod Shuffle 2nd generation and it would not charge, turn on, or show up in any apps. We used iPod reset utility and found out that the iPod has damaged firmware. If we tried resetting it again, it's unable to reset it and shows up as an iPod Classic. We tested another charger and multiple computers. I cannot find any solutions! Please Help!
