Hi everyone!

I'm hoping someone can help if you can please! I am currently trialing Logic Pro, with a view to making the step from Adobe Audition where I record & edit my podcast.

In Audition, as you make edits ie; adding compressors, EQ etc you see the impact and how it affects the waveform instantly. This is something I like as I'm quite visual. When you do the same in Logic, the waveform doesn't change.

Is there a setting that I am not seeing to make this happen? or is it not possible to see the waveform edit changes you make in Logic Pro?

No, not in Logic. You'd go by the audio meters. If you're just doing simple podcasts, I'd look at GarageBand, or stay with Audition. Logic is full out recording studio DAW.

Thanks very much Ben, I really appreciate you taking the time to answer!

I stuck with it and copied my post production settings into Logic and with a little tweaking I’m getting the sound I want finally.

It just took a bit of getting used to as I’m used to seeing things change instantly and that’s what threw me off!

I went with Logic as Audition is costing €40 a month which for how much I use it is expensive.
