How do I stop google drive syncing and taking stuff off My Icloud drive, etc without losing my files

Because MAC synced with google drive, it used up all memory and I can't download my email..Can't I keep GOOGLE drive on my Mac, but just get it so I put in what I want? At the moment, everything from the Mac synced into google drive so there is no memory left and I cannot download my emails.

I ideally want to revert back to how it was last week and just add files I want to add and utilise my i drive as before.

help, now cant get emails and do not know how to stop this happening and stupidly as I try to take stuff off the google drive it is fetching it back on from my i drive. Don't want to lose any files and need to know a way to check I can keep all files as they were last week.

To prevent Google Drive from syncing on your Mac, follow these steps: 1) Stop Google Drive Syncing by adjusting Google Drive preferences, 2) Free up space on your Mac by removing or archiving unnecessary files, 3) Check and manage iCloud Drive settings, 4) Revert to the previous state by restoring from a Time Machine backup, and 5) Regularly check storage usage and manage sync settings to ensure only necessary files are synced.
