3rd party app permissions gone

Hi,

My phone had a bit of a moment today, and when it started to work again, half of my app icons are blank/missing (app is there, but no icon) and I cannot use any permissions in my apps. Contacts can’t be accessed, nor can camera, microphone etc in any 3rd party app. In settings (on the app’s page), the option for the permission is not there, and apps do not show in the privacy section. I am not sure how to fix this. I want to try and avoid wiping my phone, as apps are unable to backup into iCloud as a result of this, and I do not want to lose my data, as my phone in general has also been unable to iCloud backup for a few days due to poor wifi. I can’t access my computer right now to restore via Finder either.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply - you’re right it is a storage issue. I ended up deleting some apps, but waited to do a restart (vol up, vol down, power) as it had been crashing after every restart. The issue is now fixed after clearing out some apps and a restart.

How to Clear "Other" in your iPhone's Storage - Use Backup - User Tip. Caches would be being used for remembrance of application use. It is essentially the same for an iPhone. You'd backup your iPhone, and then restore your iPhone from the backup you've just created. All System Data will delete.
