Use only iCloud for Gmail too?

I use Gmail. I prefer using iCloud. I upgraded iCloud and have plenty of room now. Do I have to pay Gmail too? Can I use iCloud for everything? My iPhone 15 pro max does most of the updating. I work mostly on my MacBook pro and iPhone.

“Pay Gmail”? I am not aware they charge a fee for anything. What exactly are you receiving for your money?

You may, of course, abandon your Gmail email account and choose to use your iCloud.com account for everything. If you wish, you may choose to forward your future incoming email from Gmail to iCloud (using Gmail’s method).

Hi Sherman,

Thank you for your reply. Much appreciated. Google charges for extra cloud space. They give you 15GB for ALL things Google, like Google one, Google Play, gmail, and Google Photos. It finally dawned on me that I am likely paying for two cloud storages! Apple iCloud AND Google cloud. I am in the process of getting rid of two gmail accounts and keeping only one. I use a different mail account now.

Thanks again

for letting me know that I can use iCloud for gmail and gmail photos! They're the same photos on both clouds! Duh!
