My iCloud is almost full, it has about 12GB free. I deleted over 100GB of files, but iClooud still shows I only have 12GB available. How long does it take for iCloud to recognize that I've deleted the 100GB of files?
When you delete files from iCloud, they are initially moved to the "Recently Deleted" folder, where they remain for 30 days before being permanently deleted. Until these files are permanently removed, they still occupy space on your iCloud storage.
To free up the space immediately, you can go to the "Recently Deleted" folder and manually delete the files from there. Once you do that, iCloud should recognize the freed space almost instantly, and your available storage should reflect the changes.
