How to disconnect my iCloud from my broken device?

Hello,

I have a two broken devices (MacBook and an iPhone 11) that I want to sell for parts.

The issue is that I'm not sure that my devices are working or not, and I wanted to delete everything from the memory or at least disconnect my iCloud account.

How can I ensure that I can do that?

MacBook, macOS 13.5

Hello! Do you haven an iPhone or an Apple device that you currently use? If you do and you have the same iCloud on your current Apple device as your broken MacBook and iPhone 11 then you should follow these steps to disconnect them from your iCloud: ==>

Go to Settings ==> Tap on your name (It is placed at the very top) ==> After you click on It you will see a list with the devices that are linked to your Apple ID and iCloud ==> Click on the device that you want to remove ==> After you click on it you will see a button "Remove from your account". After you have removed one of your broken devices you just need to repeat the same thing. Hope that helps you!

Removing the devices from your iCloud account will mean that the devices would have to login to the account again in order to access any documents in the cloud.

However, any documents already downloaded on the devices will still be there. In the best case, if the devices connected to the Internet and tried to connect to iCloud, they would get the rejection indicating they were removed and would start deleting those files. But if the devices are not able to power on, any information in the devices' storage is still there.
