Old I-Tunes on old I-Pad or I-Pod - How to transfer to Apple Music

Disclaimer: I'm over 60 and a little technology challenged so please be nice. Years ago, I took all of my CDs (Over 700) and burned them to my apple I-tunes. I listened to them on my i-pod for years and then went and moved them to an i-pad and was able to listen to them on the sound system in the house. I "may" have a back up file on an old windows hard drive(I'd have to dust it off and boot it up to see). Is there a way to plug in my old I-pad or the old PC and transfer over the files from I-tunes to my Apple Music now so I don't lose them all? I still have all the CDs but it would take me a million years to upload them all again. Any ideas/direction anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated!!!

You should be able to access your Windows PC from the Mac over the network if File Sharing is turned on and copy the files over to the Mac.

click here ➜ Connect to a Windows computer from a Mac - Apple Support

Make sure the iTunes Library is in a portable format, and you can just copy over the entire iTunes folder in your User Profile.

click here ➜ Make a split iTunes library portable - Apple Community

Then see the following support document for how to migrate your library.
