I have an iphone SE 2022. I have added a tracker device, worked on the first try, the device can be found by my iphone, works great. I try to locate the same device using my mac mini desktop, sonoma, 14.1.1. The mac mini desktop locates my iphone SE but will not locate my tracker device (tied to the same iphone).

yes, it was very easy to add the tracker to the iphone, and it works great using the iphone, I was hoping to be able to also view the tracker device's location from my mac mini desktop running OS 14.1.1. also using 'find my'. The mac mini can run the 'find my' app and can locate my iphone, but does not show the tracker device linked to the iphone.
This is a tracker that you can see in FindMy on your phone?
yes, the phone sees it, the desktop does not see it.
I have a 3rd party device linked to my iphone, my desktop logged into icloud doesnt see it.
