Logic Pro Session Player Wrong Key

Whene I add a Logic Session Player to accompany a song I've started (on piano for example) I add the session player (bass) and it appears to be hearing a totally different key.

The same would happen if I created a bass line and added Logic Keyboard Player. It seems to be picking up tempo but not the chord. Can someone tell me why this might be happening? Thank you.
