Boot-up delays

I have a 2018 Intel MacMini, running 14.6.1, that has performed well over the past six years. Recently, I've started noticing a delay in the boot-up progress bar of around 20 seconds or so. Here is what syslog recorded:

Aug 31 09:18:20 BobbyMac loginwindow[197]: ISAP: Done with Phase "IOKit Boot"

Aug 31 09:18:20 BobbyMac loginwindow[197]: client 0x600002eea780: phaseName = "IOKit Boot" is being released

Aug 31 09:18:20 BobbyMac loginwindow[197]: Releasing Connection

Aug 31 09:18:20 BobbyMac loginwindow[197]: client 0x600002ee94c0: handler = 0x6000035e6b50

Aug 31 09:18:43 BobbyMac loginwindow[197]: USER_PROCESS: 197 console

Aug 31 09:18:45 BobbyMac loginwindow[197]: client 0x600002ee94c0: phaseName = "loginwindow Boot" is done

There is a 23 second delay in spawning process 197, which I believe is the login window.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

15 to 30 seconds is in the ball park.

Any ideas?

1) Remove items that are set to automatically open at Login.

see > Open items automatically when you log in on Mac - Apple Support

2) Check to see how much Storage Space is available.

see > Free up storage space on your Mac - Apple Support
