Playing vinyl through HomePods

Hi. Is it possible to connect my home pods to a stereo receiver so that I can play my vinyl records on the turntable, though the receiver and hear them on my HomePod speakers? And what requirements (apple airplay, WiFi,…) need to be met by the receiver (stereo amplifier) so this can happen?

An interesting question. I found a few sources which will give you some ideas. You will need to use Airplay 2 to stream digital audio to your HomePod.
