Specific Contacts in iCloud only syncing with iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch - not MacBook Air M2 2023

In my iCloud account I log in and see my contacts. Those same contacts appear on my iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, but do not appear on my MacBook Air M2 2023. There was at least one other thread (iCloud contacts not syncing with 2023 Mac… - Apple Community ) that described the same but it was the Mini. This appears to bizarrely be computer specific! What's the fix Apple?
