Recalling Saved Channel Strip Settings Issue

Logic provides a command to save channel strips settings as a .cst file. The Save dialog also let's you to save this file anywhere on your system - e.g. you might want to keep it in your project folder.

Now you might think that if the software allows you to save it any directory then there would be a related command that loads this settings file - but there isn't. Only Settings files saved in the anointed directory seem to be available for loading - so why provide a facility for saving outside this directory?

This doesn't make a lot of sense.
