iCloud content not showing in finder

I set up an old Mac Mini with 10.13.6. iCloud in System Preferences is giving the correct iCloud stats, but when I select the iCloud Drive in the finder, nothing is showing. Has anyone got any ideas please?

  1. Ensure that iCloud Drive is enabled by going to System Preferences, then iCloud, and verifying that iCloud Drive is checked.
  2. Next, check if you have selected the correct options for what to store in iCloud Drive by clicking Options next to iCloud Drive and ensuring the relevant folders and files are selected.
  3. If iCloud Drive is enabled and options are correctly set, try restarting your Mac Mini.
  4. Additionally, check your internet connection to make sure it's stable, as connectivity problems can affect iCloud Drive functionality.
  5. Still not working? Then try signing out of iCloud and signing back in to refresh your iCloud settings.

I’m checking it against my Mac Pro with working iCloud. The Mac Mini is set up as a valid device on the appleid webpage, and it appears, with the Mac Pro in ‘Find Devices’ on icloud.com. When I look at the iCloud stats in System Prefs, it shows the same iCloud data size as on the Mac Pro. In fact, in every way I can think of checking, the 2 installations are exactly the same – the only difference seems to be that the iCloud content is not showing in the finder window on the Mini – nothing in user/library/mobile documents. I don’t know how to proceed from here.

Thanks for your response. I've done all of that several times, with no change. Both computers are on the same Internet connection. Mac Pro still fine, but still nothing in Finder on Mini and nothing in user/library/mobile documents. I can see the correct folders and files in icloud.com, and they appear correctly on Mac Pro, but nothing on Mac Mini. The Mac Mini appears in Devices and Find My Mac on appleid.com.
