Storing Logic Pro X Projects on a Flash Drive

Hi, everyone!

My sister and I share a computer. She uses Logic Pro and needs TONS of space for her projects. Already, she's used up 82 GB of space and we just bought this bloody thing a few months ago, lol. She now has a flash drive with 512 GB (she'll likely need a bigger one at some point). My question is, if she stores her projects on the flash drive instead of the macbook, will her projects still load/work smoothly?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know exactly what you mean by "Flash Drive" as this usually means a "USB-Stick". USB sticks getting slower from time to time, and I wouldn't use them to work on but only for transfers or temporary storage.

However, it's common to save and work on external hard drives, either spinning ones or better: SSD. As long as your sister and you are working on a mac, make sure the drive is formatted only with APFS (recommended, especially for SSD) or MacOS Extended (old school).
