iPhone Mirroring pauses connection after 5 minutes

I run iPhone Mirroring to show my iPhone 14 Pro (iOS 18) on my M1 MacBook Pro (Sequoia) desktop. If I don't interact with the iPhone Mirroring app, it pauses the connection after 5 minutes (see attached image).

The phone is set to auto-lock after 1 minute, but it's already locked when I connect iPhone Mirroring. So I don't think that's causing the pause.

Is there a way to convince iPhone Mirroring not to pause? If not, is there a way to increase the timeout?

Experiencing the same thing, but I believe it's by design. According to Apple's own support document for this feature, it says that the connection will be automatically paused after "periods of inactivity":

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there's a setting for this.

I'm sure this is related to iPhone security, and maybe iPhone battery life. But it's annoying because you'll the iPhone notification on your Mac, click on it to interact, and then have to "resume" the iPhone connection. And then it just stays on the iPhone home screen. You have to click on the notification again to interact with the app within iPhone mirroring...
